This installation brings together scattershot thoughts born of a frustration with socioeconomic strife and marginalization of anyone who would seek to subvert the dominant paradigm.
I use gouache over watercolor to emphasize societal contrasts. I incorporate torn photographs as a representation of the impermanence of each of us moving through this world.
I hope you'll take a moment to reflect on the theme and meaning of each triptych.
My goal with this work is to push back against prejudices, starting with everyday microaggressions. If my aesthetic disturbs you, that is the point.
