I am writing in response to the ad that you posted on Craigslist.org in reference to an assistant teacher for your toddler room. I have been looking for just such an opportunity to share my creativity and experience with small children.
You indicated in your ad that education was important for this job; I graduated from Portland University with a bachelor's degree in Early Education. In addition, I have four years of experience working with toddlers ages one and a half to four. I worked as an assistant teacher at the CDC program in Salem for three year and as the lead teacher at the CKA in Portland for one year.
As an assistant teacher, I am proficient in organizing daily lesson plans, setting up art activities, cleaning and changing diapers, preparing snacks, and creating fun and exciting games that help kids learn while they play. I love working with children-their enthusiasm and affection has been inspirational to me, and I love helping guide and teach them through their early development.
