I am writing to express my keen interest in the Lead Graphic Designer position at XYZ Publication.
Armed with a graphic design degree from Anytown University, I landed a position at Famous Magazine right out of college. Since then, I've built a career that has included stints at Other Magazine, Online Publication, and Additional Position. I'm comfortable supervising others in an Art Director role, but my passion is designing for print. My spreads have also been featured in mainstream newspapers. I've won numerous design awards, including juried competitions by the Society of Designers and the Club of Illustrators. I also teach an Adobe Illustrator class at NearbyTown Community College.
I'm proud of my bold illustration style, which ranges from watercolor effects to stark vector art. I am confident in any medium, from hand-drawing to computer animation.
